JBCStyle: Madonna and Child Style

He's been known to test the limits - with art, music videos, film, commercials - and David Foote's next exhibition promises to be no exception.

Yes, when you pull off an exhibition like the one above, one flirts with the idea of one hit wonderstyle. But he's only just begun, and with Foote it has always been about the art of creation.

His mind won't stop.

This time he's lighting up a church with his Madonna and Child series.  If you are familiar with his past work, all we can say is you ain't seen nothing yet style. . .

They're one of a kind. A labor of love, of madness, of imagination, of a vision hearkening back to a Vermeer, or even a Giotto. . . and yet even the Moma would be hard pressed to define this exhibition or have it fit in with a pre-existing genre.

That's because it doesn't.

It's art history crashing into the future and light burns from the canvas and the brushstrokes crackle.

Each one is more spectacular than the next - trust us, we've gotten a peak. Transcendent.

The exhibition will be on display from October 27th through November 27th at St. John's Lutheran Church, curated by KiptonART with lighting provided by Suffolk Designer Lighting. If you have to own a piece now (once they're gone, they're gone) you can contact the artist's studio.
