Mothers in Full Bloom Style

Frenzied, frenetic, fervor may surround anything pertaining to the royal wedding right now, and while writers and reporters flock to England as if it truly were the last great social media frontier, we pause on 59th Street, Simon and Garfunkel Style, because we think Bloomingdales is groovy for celebrating true royalty. . .sometimes it's important to slow down. Move too fast and you miss the most important moments style.

We think the Mother's Day tribute by designers Rebecca Taylor, Lela Rose, Michael Kors, Michelle Smith, and Yigal Azrouel to their respective mothers transcends Middleton style.

We dig New York because sometimes she rhymes fast, but sometimes. . . sometimes she rhymes slow, Nice n Smooth style. . .

The Devil Wears Other Brands, Too

You can't wear Prada every day. That would be a devil with no style. No matter what you're wearing, we understand how difficult it is when they don't understand style. . .you have a magazine. A clothing store. A register. A showroom. A deadline and a desperate need for fit models.

You need staff yesterday.

Desperately seeking stylish staff style?

"This... stuff? Oh... ok. I see, you think this has nothing to do with you. You go to your closet and you select out, oh I don't know, that lumpy blue sweater, for instance, because you're trying to tell the world that you take yourself too seriously to care about what you put on your back. But what you don't know is that that sweater is not just blue, it's not turquoise, it's not lapis, it's actually cerulean. You're also blindly unaware of the fact that in 2002, Oscar de la Renta did a collection of cerulean gowns. And then I think it was Yves St. Laurent, wasn't it, who showed cerulean military jackets? And then cerulean quickly showed up in the collections of eight different designers. Then it filtered down through the department stores and then trickled on down into some tragic Casual Corner where you, no doubt, fished it out of some clearance bin. However, that blue represents millions of dollars and countless jobs and so it's sort of comical how you think that you've made a choice that exempts you from the fashion industry when, in fact, you're wearing the sweater that was selected for you by the people in this room. From a pile of stuff."
Miranda Priestly, The Devil Wears Prada
based on the novel by Lauren Weisberger

It's so hard to tell, and really one has such little time. Smart? Reliable? Hopeless? Or potential style?

Why can't they all be just right style. . .

That's JBCStyle.

Siblings and Soda Style

Meri-Leigh's brother Drew stopped by to visit our NYC office. We love when siblings visit. . .

Drew & JBCStyle Fashion Recruiter Meri-Leigh
Karan & JBCStyle Publicity Director Anisha
We also like when siblings are models. . .(Only Drew, sadly. Karan works for a hedgefund. A little boring style).

Drew Hollowell
But if you were paying attention, you caught the love of some of our lives in the background.

It's all about paying attention style. Caffeine makes JBCStyle fashion recruiters wide awake style. . .

The Real Boss Style

My father didn't tell me how to live; he lived, and let me watch him do it.
-Clarence Budington Kelland

She puts the Z in Zaslow. Enough said, father daughter style.

Face to face over a happy hour cocktail does a resume nice style. . .

Don Hill Forever Young Style

It was a friend's birthday party not too long ago, and it was one of those summer nights when everyone is out, everyone is at one place, and it's so rocking nobody makes a bid to leave.

The bar? Ten people deep. . .order ten drinks when you're up style. . .

My girlfriend and I were too busy complaining when Don came up behind us. "The service is really sucking tonight, isn't it? Wanna guest bartend?" We turned around, and sad but true, we didn't recognize the legend.

He liked it that way best style.

When we asked, it was a simple, "Don."

Bryan Zaslow Sails Away: Summit At Sea

Where in the world is Bryan Zaslow? On the coolest cruise we've ever heard of. . . heading to an undisclosed island (he won't tell us where, and we're not sure even he knows yet) with 999 other people including Sir Richard BransonRussell Simmons, and a host of names that have our heads in a tailspin. We would love to be on a cruise with these guests, too. If Ayn Rand were alive she might agree that Atlas indeed has shrugged, and Galt's Gulch is not just a literary fantasy.

Check it out style.

Hare and Hart Style

Welcome to our latest obsession. . .leather jackets that feel like butter, cut just right, and. . . absolutely affordable? Dream on style. That's what we thought, too, before meeting Jennie Engelhardt and Emily Harrison, the talented duo behind Hare + Hart . .  just wait till you see their bags. . .

Favorite new discovery style.

Ermenegildo Zegna, Flagship Football Style

Ermenegildo Zegna hosted 500 Hands with NFL players Jason Taylor and Bart Scott in attendance; COO Keith Geller, being a life-long Dolphins fan, holds Jason Taylor as one of his favorite all timers (we're going to overlook the, er, Jets). The Manhattan flagship at 663 Fifth Avenue is an homage to architecture at its finest; no expense was spared during the remodeling in 2008 by architect Peter Marino and Anna Zegna, the founder's granddaughter herself.

The store's aesthetics are inspired by the Zegna Wool Mill in Trivero, Italy. . .9200 stunning square feet of retail space, 3 floors, and a facade spanning 900 square feet and compromised of continuous glass. . . a visual wonderland.
