JBCStyle: Samantha Thavasa Style

Samantha Thavasa was founded by Kazu Terada in 1994, the current CEO and president. To date, the line has over 150 stores in Japan, and its first United States flagship store is located right next door to Christian Louboutin at 965 Madison Avenue. Over the past several seasons, Riccimie designer and Christian Dior beauty ambassador Tinsley Mortimer has designed over 30 handbag variations. . .

Tinsley's sister Dabney Mercer is the latest member to join the JBCStyle Creative & Social Media team and informs, "Tinsley is genuinely involved in every detail of each bag she designs. From picking the leathers to the hardware, to hands on involvement in the factory, she is a part of every step from concept to finished product."
Sister duos Paris and Nicky Hilton and Beyonce and Solange Knowles have been in advertising campaigns for the company, and Nicky Hilton and Victoria Beckham join the ranks with Tinsley in designing handbags for the line.

Jennifer Lopez recently endorsed the line. . .

Just recently the company supported Tinsley's dedication to animal rights by supporting a fundraiser for The American Humane Association's Second Chance Fund. The fund helps treat and care for abused and neglected dogs throughout the country as well as assist in their adoption. Cotton, Sarah, and Gus were three adorable dogs available for adoption - Dabney proudly shared with us today that Gus indeed got adopted!

Sarah and Cotton (below with Tinsley) are still available for adoption. It's as easy as clicking here to see who is available at Bideawee, a humane organization founded by Mrs. Flora D'Auby Jenkins Kibbe. . . bideawee means "stay awhile" in Scottish.

Guests enjoyed Waggy Tail cocktails and Doggy Bone cupcakes, as well as a special discount on the bags. From now until October 31st, Samantha Thavasa will donate 10 percent of all sales to the Second Chance Fund.

We purchased this glam evening number - "It's inspired by my love of the 80s, lace, and corsets," Tinsley dished. We think it's beautiful and the perfect accessory for the upcoming holiday season. (And we love Tinsley's passion for the 80s. . . who else would name evening bags Poison and Metallica? We're holding out for a Whitesnake clutch.)

And of course, how could we resist a bag in her line named "The Dabs." Patent leather perfection. . .sister style.

Stop by Samantha Thavasa and check out the wide assortment while donating towards a worthy cause.

Big in Japan style.
